Things you will need:
- your domain name
- your email address
- your email password
1. Open Outlook
2. Click the tools menu, then select accounts
3. Click on add then mail
4. You'll then be asked to enter a name (e.g. your own name or a company name). Click Next.
5. Now add your email address and click Next.
6. You'll now be presented with a screen asking you to confirm your incoming and outgoing email servers. Make sure that you select your incoming email server as POP3.
7. You'll then need to put in your incoming and outgoing email servers. Complete these email settings as follows:
Server Information:
Incoming mail server (POP3) is mail.yourdomainname.com
Outgoing mail server (SMTP) is smtp.yourdomainname.com
Fill the Account name field with your whole email address. Fill the Password field with the password that you where given during signup. (You will not be able to see it as you type, it will appear asterisked).
8. Click on Next and you will be taken to the Mail Logon Screen. Enter your username and password. Important: Your username will be your whole email address, your password is case sensitive. Make sure these are correct, if they are wrong you won't be able to get your email. Click next
9. The congratulations screen will now appear. Click on Finish to complete setup.
Click on Finish. You MUST do the next steps to be able to send email via your server.
10. Click tools, accounts.
Highlight mail.yourdomain.com under Account, and click Properties.
Click the Servers tab, and check the box next to My server requires authentication. Then click on the Settings button.
Verify the Login Information is set to use same settings as my incoming mail server then click OK.
Click OK for the properties window now.
Congratulations your email setup is now complete.
